Behind on posting, again.

So we are back to the usual...behind on posting updates, again.  But maybe that means we have been doing cool stuff?!?  Or maybe it just means we are not posting updates.  Either way, it is definitely time, so here is the short list of what we have been up to, in no particular order!

• Flew to Port Townsend for breakfast.  You know it is a good sign when there are just as many cars in the parking lot as there are planes!
• We have seen deer, rabbits, and lots of different birds at our place.  It is a nice change of pace from all of the sirens and post office noise at our previous apartment!
• Tuba time galore for David lately as he has had a number of concerts with the Bellevue Community Band as well as the Bellevue brass quintet, formed by members of the BCB.  It is great to watch him play!
• We flew down to Hillsboro for the day and got to have lunch with the soon-to-be newlyweds, Kelly and Bruce!
• Things have definitely fallen into place at our house and it feels like home.  We are all set up with a grill and have already made great use of it.  We also just finished getting the murphy bed set up in the second bedroom so there is a comfy place for guests to stay while also giving us use of the room when guests are not here!
• David flew us over to Spokane for the weekend and we got to hang out with Josh and Denise and have breakfast with Ken!  David also took Josh and Denise up to see Spokane and Deer Lake from the air - very fun for them!  On the way home I got to reach my arm out and touch a cloud!  So cool!  No, literally, it was really cold (32 degrees!).
• For the second year in a row we went flight-seeing over the tulips up north.  Looks very different from above!
• My Uncle Stu and Laury were up to visit from AZ and I was glad to have the chance to see them after quite a few years of not seeing them.  Even funnier was that one of Laury's former co-workers is a current co-worker of mine!  It really is a small world sometimes!
• David got to play with the WSU Alumni Band for the opening of boat day again this year, but this time it was actually great weather to be out on the water.  Such a nice change of pace!
• I am trying out a Tai Chi class at work and that has been a fun and interesting undertaking.  We are halfway through the series and it has been a nice break during the day each Wednesday.

While this list is all quite positive, it is not to say that we haven't had any less than positive things going on.  We have had some things go not quite as planned and know of friends and family going through some very difficult times.  It serves as a good reminder to be blessed with what you have and let those you care about know how much they mean to you.
