This weekend at the newly formed Underwood-Wyatt residence was a bit random, therefore, this post will be as well! Last weekend was our first opportunity to relax a little bit and start enjoying our new place. Friday evening, the 27th, started out just right with my Birthday dinner with David at Benihana's. Santa had kindly given us a double-sided M&M puzzle for Christmas and so we used some relaxation time to take on the adventure of the Milk Chocolate side (along with some yummy M&M's!). Being a small-ish puzzle of 500 pieces helped keep this from becoming a lengthy venture, but all of the brown and white sections were a challenge. The finished product was well worth the efforts! Terry & Kathy, David's uncle and aunt, came down to visit on Sunday and share their vacation adventures in Maui and update us on the research we asked them to do for our wedding next year. After all that tropcial talk we can't wait to go!The week was good - the usual days of work, and then another great Friday evening! We had the joy of being out with good friends for a fun dinner at the Melting Pot. We laughed a lot and ate a lot, so all around it was a successful evening, with much to celebrate!
Random weekend came next - small projects around the house, I had breakfast with a good friend, household chores, errands, and some wedding stuff. David hung some drapes up in our bedroom that help block out lights, some sound, and will apparently help keep things cool in warmer temperatures. We aren't wild about the color but so far the drapes are doing their job! The crazy weather of late had us laughing - more snow in March, are you kidding us? Thankfully it only lasted a few minutes, but here is our view from our kitchen just before the snow started to fall again.
