The Happiest Place on Earth!

For our 1st Anniversary we headed to the Happiest Place on Earth to celebrate.  Yes, that is right, we were visiting the wonderful world of Disney! 



When we checked in we got red Disney balloons, a Happy Anniversary packet and red buttons proclaiming "Happy Anniversary" to wear all during our stay.  We felt so popular during our stay with not only Disney cast but other park-goers all wishing us a Happy Anniversary whenever they saw our buttons.  So fun!

The weather was perfect for zipping around Disneyland, Disney California Adventure and Downtown Disney...it was sunny and a nice mid-to-high 70's.  We didn't realize how much we were missing the sunshine until we had it at our disposal for a few days.  Well, that and the ability to wear short sleeve shirts and no jackets!!

Being a "slow" time of year for Disney we did experience far smaller crowds than a typical summer day.  First thing in the morning we practically walked right on to rides, shortly thereafter it was a 10-15 minute wait, and then at times (or for certain rides) it would creep up to 30-45 minutes but of course that was for the good rides that EVERYONE wanted to be on!  :)

We absolutely fell in love with the California Screamin roller coaster.  If there was one ride we just couldn't get enough of this would be it.  Wow, it is soooo fun with music expertly matched to the various parts of the ride.  We found that riding in the 2nd or 3rd row was our favorite and that night-time was incredible.  The first row never saw the sights of us and we are okay with that!
