Lederhosen and Sheetrock

What do Lederhosen and Sheetrock have in common?  Pretty much nothing, except that we witnessed them both in the same month!  That should count for something, right?

And here he is playing!  Their tuba section was 8 tubas strong and sounded great!

This is from the Argosy/Living Social Oktoberfest cruise we went on to celebrate a friend's birthday on 10/19/12.  Even though it was a late night for us, it was a lot of fun!

And now what feels like a long time coming, updates on the house!  The past weeks have truly felt like nothing was really happening when in reality there were a lot of little things taking place in preparation for what we saw this past weekend.  The wiring was all completed, duct work in, and then we saw insulation appear.  The final three windows were installed and the cover over the porch was built and roofing added to it.  But even more exciting than that was the appearance of siding and sheetrock!  We can't see all of the way through the house any longer, there are official walls!  :)

This is in the garage - the short entrance here is to storage space under the stairs and porch which will be great for things like decorations that need to be put somewhere but are not used frequently!

The living room and dining room look so different!  It really feels like it is taking shape!  In the bottom right hand corner is the edge of the kitchen.

This is from the doorway to the master bedroom.  Some nice big windows that currently look out to undeveloped land and the doorway to the left is for the master bathroom.

And last, but not least, the siding is all up on the back side of the house!  Once it is painted it will obviously look a little different, but still very exciting!
