Finally - an opportunity to go see what this whole soccer thing is about! I took my friend Melissa with me to the game and after circling around to find "reasonably priced" parking (most lots were $15 -$20, that is crazy!) we headed into the stadium. After locating our section we grabbed a quick seat to take in all of the pre-game activities as seen above.
Where's David?? Kind of like Where's Waldo, only it is quite easy to locate David...just look for those bright green shoelaces and you'll find him!!! :)
Okay...wow, Melissa and I were not sure what to think of this fan section. One theory we agreed upon was that they got free beer with their seats?? They were very energetic and also VERY into their soccer experience. Jumping up and down and twirling scarves around. Definitely free beer!
This was our view of the field - while we weren't sure what the weather was going to be like when we left for the game, it turned out to be a pretty nice day!
And here is SoundWave in their designated spot at the stadium (zoomed in from our seats, mind you). They are subject to all of the various weather elements that grace the games...wind, rain, sun, you name it, they experience it! We could tell they were playing a few times from our seats (they would look a lot like this picture) but we couldn't hear them since we were much closer to the free beer section! :)
