Garden Update - Week 1 of Growing

After a week of harassing phone calls to my mom to see what was happening in the garden we went to check on the garden ourselves. Okay, they really weren't harassing calls, but maybe she thinks so since we all knew that nothing much would be happening, especially those first few days. However, a few things did start to pop out of the dirt by the one week mark, just as expected. Here are a few shots of the boxes so you can see what they are looking like.

Squash varieties and brussel sprouts in the first picture. Herbs, broccoli, beets, and cucumber in the second one. And the third one has beans, sugar snap peas, carrots, and radishes (they are the two cute little rows of sprouting greenery!).

I've not been one to really enjoy working in the yard, but this garden has been fun so far, especially since we'll get to eat the end product and not just stare at pretty flowers! :)
