Another time warp? How can this be??

So we thought July went speeding right but apparently so did August, September, and half of October! Wow! What have we been up to you ask? We're not sure, but we'll try to summarize it up for you:

• We saw the B-52's/Blondie at Chateau St. Michele in August - great seats, good music, and we got to see some of my friends from the Interlinq/HFS days! Not the mention the incredible people watching at this event!


• David had a variety of SoundWave rehearsals and games going on as well as other "guest" appearances.


• New York, New York! We got to spend a fabulous week in New York with David's long time friend (they became friends 20 years ago!), John, and his lovely fiancee, Mary. Not only was it great to hang out with them and enjoy some delicious food but we also got to see some interesting things as well - Statue of Liberty (of course!), Times Square, Mood! (Thank You, Mood!), Ciao Bella storefronts (sure beats the small selection of containers in the freezer section that we have here!), and we saw Phantom of the Opera. We experienced many modes of transportion throughout this trip - planes, trains, taxis, ferry, subway, and good 'ol sidewalks!


• I (Heather) had a quick girls getaway to Portland with two of my favorite gals - Melissa and Kelly. We saw Carrie Underwood at the Rose Garden, ran into the same couple before and after the concert that were on the Max with us, and had plenty of laughs. It was a great weekend!


• David has been very busy studying his private pilot materials whenever an opportunity presents itself. He is hoping to take the written exam this fall and begin flying lessons in the spring. How big is our life insurance policy?? Be careful sweetie! :)


• We also headed over to Pullman for the WSU Homecoming weekend. A lot of Cougar Alumni Band activities for David over the weekend and a LONG drive home on Sunday!

Next up we will head to Leavenworth for a day visit on the last weekend of Oktoberfest. We are so excited to see our friends Patrick and Terri over there (since we can't seem to see them lately on this side of the mountains!) and listen to Patrick play tuba in a Bavarian band!

Thanksgiving will be a new experience for us this year. We are taking off for wine country and not spending it with our families! We have some really fun activities on the docket (yes, we will do more than taste wine!) and will be post those adventures when they happen.

That about covers the big stuff. Obviously there have been plenty of other things going on in between what is listed but the highlights are much more interesting than hearing about when we clean the house, take the cars in for oil changes, and washing laundry, right?? :)
