What an amazing morning we had! The weather finally cooperated and we got to go on our Hot Air Balloon Ride!!! They said that they had not flown since last Thursday due to the weather so we were glad it worked out to go while we were still in town!

Wow, wow, wow! It really was an incredible day to be up in the air and we had a great time. Some stats about our flight:
Total Distance Flown = 13 miles (some days they barely make it a mile so we were REALLY lucky!)
Highest We Went = 2500 feet!
Lowest We Went = Ground level! :) Seriously though, we were literally cruising above some grape vines for a while so we weren't that far off the ground at times!
Number of Landings = Depends on who you ask! After our initial touch down the crew was helping keeping the balloon close the ground but we started to fly again a few times which meant some of the crew were hanging on the bottom of the basket and flying along with us! When it was all said and done I think we actually touched down about four times before truly coming to a stop. It was never scary and actually more funny than anything since the balloon kept wanting to fly some more!
It was sooooo worth getting up at 5:25 this morning for this experience! We may be tired later on today but that is all right, we'll survive! No bottles purchased yet today, but I (Heather) already had two glasses of champagne under my belt before 9:30 am!
