Pre-Wedding Friday

The countdown is really on now! The wedding is so close and we had a relaxed day. We cooked our own breakfast (yay - a break from eating out!) and we zipped ourselves over to Lahaina to see what was going on there and get a little Vitamin D. Not too much D though because we didn't want to be burned for the wedding!



We walked around a bit and had a rocking lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe. :) David was on the hunt for a particular gallery and I wasn't sure exactly what we were looking for...until I saw it. The elephants with tuba trunks! So creative and so very fitting for the two of us! It would have come home with us, but unfortunately we didn't win the lottery so we cannot afford the lovely piece of art that costs a whopping $12,000!!!!! We then made our way back to Kihei for a little checking in on a place to get everyone together that night as a impromptu gathering. We were going to go to Stella Blues but they had a band there that night which required a $20 cover charge even if you were only there for dinner and not the band (no thank you!) so we decided on a place called Oceans. We were able to reserve the majority of the patio and get almost everyone together for drinks and dinner before the big day. Before that could happen though a little pre-work for the wedding had to take place!


It was great to get some introductions made and have the opportunity to hang out with everyone. The restaurant very sweetly brought us two big desserts on the house to share with everyone but unfortunately they both had macadamia nuts which I am allergic to so I just sampled a very small portion and sent the desserts on their way around the table!
