A ziptastic day!

The week following the wedding was a busy one, beginning with the fun of going zip lining! We went with Eco Skyline Adventures out of Ka'anapali and would recommend them to anyone interested in this kind of experience on Maui! We arrived at their store front, got checked in and awaited our turn to hop into the first of two vans we would ride in.

The ride was interesting as we headed off the main roads an onto some dirt roads headed up into one of the gulches. We stopped at their "gear shack" and got into our harnesses and helmets and into our second van. This van was not quite the same as the other one - it had monstrous tires on it and once we all crammed ourselves in we were off on our first adventure of the day and it wasn't the actual zip lining! We were bouncing around, power sliding through the corners and not sure if we would get to zip line! Finally we came to a stop and the "real fun" began.

They started us on a short line of a mere 350 feet, took us along four more lines and then a lunch break. At lunch, we ate on the deck they had built into the side of the gulch with great views all around. After our yummy chicken sandwiches and chips and salsa we were off to our last four lines, ending with an amazing 1100 foot line!

Once we were done with the zip lines we had to zip ourselves back to our place in Kihei to shower off all of the red dirt dust that had jumped onto us before going to Lahaina for a great luau experience. We chose to go to the Feast at Lele and were quite pleased with our decision. We had a table for two in the front row, almost exactly in the middle. That meant incredible views for us of not only the luau, but also a great sunset!

We enjoyed some wonderful foods from all different areas - from Hawai'i, Tahiti, and more! The drinks we had were delicious and they were also able to accommodate both of our food allergies without having us miss out on some great food. The fire dance was amazing and as you can see, we had a wonderful view of it!!
